The Royal Oak Hotel in Birkenhead exceeded our expectations in several ways. the prices were incredibly affordable, offering great value for money. Additionally, the staff were friendly, polite, and helpful throughout our stay. The basic amenities provided in the room, including comfortable beds and a tasty breakfast, were exactly what we needed. Moreover, the hotel's location, slightly away from the bustling center of Birkenhead, allowed for a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
There was one minor aspect that could be improved.

A great place to spend Easter weekend! The hotel offers easy access to nearby cities for sightseeing and shopping. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the friendly service from the staff.
The hotel is in need of some renovation work, with peeling paint and dated decor. The bathrooms could use a little more attention to cleaning as well.

The location of the hotel is ideal, with a fabulous pub next door and an excellent value for money restaurant attached, the 'Hungry Horse' Restaurant. the room was adequate and the staff were friendly. the hotel also offered convenient facilities such as a restaurant and bar.
The cleanliness of the bathroom was below standard, with mold and suspect cleanliness.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a hotel in the Wirral area, which I found to be a great base for exploring Wales and the surrounding regions. The location was ideal, with easy access to motorways for both north and southbound travel. Additionally, it was a short distance from the vibrant city of Liverpool, perfect for those who enjoy shopping and sightseeing.
All in all, my stay at this hotel was a delightful experience - nothing to complain about!

Good price and location close to the event venue. the staff was friendly.
The hotel was awful, the cleanliness of the bathroom was terrible: mold all over the walls, broken toilet seat, and the sink was clogged. the bed looked like it hadn't been changed for the whole month, and we had to sleep over the covers.
